Blood Will Be Spilled is a charming new adventure where insects tame the Wild West. As goofy as the premise is, the story is well-written and the voice cast sells us on this over-the-top world. It's also deeper than you might expect, offering several different paths to take and a bunch of abilities to unlock. Unfortunately, the game is also broken in more ways than one. It's cut down by game-breaking technical problems, a horribly unreliable frame rate, stiff gameplay and some questionable racial stereotypes. Fans of old spaghetti westerns will get a kick out of the references and XCOM fans will enjoy the turn-based combat, but pretty much everybody should hold off on getting into insect-themed shootouts until the developers have squashed a few of the lingering bugs.
