Reviewing Cyberpunk After Playing it for a Month
This review aims to cover all of the main aspects of Cyberpunk 2077. It intentionally glosses over one of the biggest problems in the game, the bugs, because these are fixable. What isn't fixable is some of the core gameplay mechanics baked into the game which really do paint a concerning picture for the future of this game and the Cyberpunk franchise.
As soon as Jamie finished Cyberpunk 2077, he immediately started on this review. After finishing the script, there was absolutely no doubt that it was far longer than anticipated, yet, at the same time there is still so much more to talk about Cyberpunk 2077. Talking about some of the smaller (but still important!) issues the game has would have probably doubled this review, so instead we will be having a spoiler-full free-form discussion about the game at a later date in a separate video.
Speaking of spoilers, I really wanted to keep them to a minimum in this review. Most of the footage for this video is from the smaller side missions, 'gigs', which have a much smaller story footprint. That being said, since this is a review, there are small slivers of content from early main missions and a couple of more substantial side missions, to give you more of an idea of some of the more fleshed-out content in the game.
I hope you enjoy the video! This game was extremely difficult to write a review for since there is so much to talk about. We didn't want to compromise our review and honestly this game was Jamie's most hyped game in an extremely long time: he always wanted to do a long video like this. Our reviews in the past have looked at more manageable games and we try to keep our reviews around the 10 minute mark. It also didn't help that Cyberpunk frequently decided to crash when recording!
