Call of Duty: World at War is the "first" game of the "Black Ops" series' timeline. The game is set in both the Pacific Theater and Eastern Front of World War and introduces the Co-op feature for both the main campaign and for PvP competitions.

Downfall is the final mission of Call of Duty World at War's campaign mode. the mission takes place in the Reichstag where players must fight through the Germans within until they reach the upper levels of the building. A notable section of the mission is the shooting down of the Reichadler, the most prominent Nazi symbol. The mission ends once the flag of the Soviet Union has been planted. Downfall's difficulty lies in the lack of cover in the air partnered with enemies on the high ground armed with very very bad weapons.
