Me and Kazooie, being the connoisseurs and admirers of high quality video games that we are, decided to play another "masterpiece": Ride to Hell: Retribution. Will it top Winx Club and Deadly Premonition in glitchy casual playthrough enjoyment? Only time will tell, but we already got more than one video's worth of material from only playing the game for a few hours.

I: in the first riding section after prologue, entering the pause-menu repeatedly can shut off the game's audio indefinitely. ...yeah.

II: a small, so far useless tidbit. If you press start and triangle almost simultaneously when choosing to skip a cutscene, you get another skip cutscene prompt immediately after the cutscene. Unfortunately choosing to skip another time doesn't seem to do anything special.

III: a small out of bounds in the driving stage, I guess. You are practically on rails, so it's questionable how much you could even do out of bounds in these stages.

IV: some odd physics quirk?

V: we managed to softlock the game. The theory as to why it happened is that we tried to enter pause-menu right as the game was about to give a mission failed-screen, causing time to stop but nothing else to happen. Yes, this is not a crash, the PS-menu could still be accessed.

VI: a dramatic quick-time event! ...that does absolutely nothing if you fail it. Normally there should be a small bloody reaction to getting hit, but here there is none, so it is a glitch.

VII: not a glitch per se, but these cinematic QTE triggers are placed in such a clumsy way that we thought this was a glitch the first time we saw it!

VIII: for some reason retrying from this checkpoint in this stage causes a glitched loading screen where you see Jake driving behind the start-menu for a bit.

IX: we laughed so hard when we saw that van fly up in the air.

X: check out Jake's cool powerslide skills! Again, not technically a glitch, but come on... this looks pretty hilarious. It's like Jake is smelling his armpits while swerving around on the road.

XI: crazy things happen if you powerslide down a hill. This reminds me of the Evel Knievel game for Game Boy Color.

XII: while testing out the booster on the motorbike, it looked like we accidentally breached a small wall in the way. It's another hint that an OoB in these driving stages could be a reality.

XIII: bumping into a car as you drive into your objective caused everything to work mostly like normal, but after the short cutscene you see the motorbike empty for a second (not normal).

XIV: simply covering and walking against a wall lets you sink into walls deeper than normal. Sometimes rolling can zip you up on top of some collision too, like in this instance on top of the fence. Covering might allow real OoBs somewhere in the game, but that requires some more testing.

XV: if you run into a "wrong way" trigger and cover somewhere beyond, the game will remember your covering location and makes you zip there once you are teleported away. The zipping speed is kind of leisurely, though. So far this is useless but looks stylish.

XVI: I was petty enough to include this harmless lighting glitch in this video.

XVII: in one of the earlier driving stages there are no enemies but you still die if you fool around for too long: you explode for absolutely no reason. Which is also pretty hilarious.

(My theory is that Jake suffers from an awesomeness underflow and spontaneously combusts. In other words, he fails so hard at everything that suddenly he is the most awesome thing ever; so awesome that his body can't handle it and he explodes into flames.)
