It's our first day of travel in Japan and we are getting out of Tokyo! In today's video, we make the long train journey up to Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japan's four main islands. The best way to cover such a long distance is aboard the Shinkansen also known as the bullet train. We'll navigate riding the metro during rush hour, pick up our JR train tickets at the station, buy an ekiben (train bento box) to enjoy during the trip, and enjoy the scenic ride across Japan.
