Riding on that DK! (Donkey Kong Country, SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
962This glitch is quite comical. It's not particularly useful, but it allows Donkey Kong to... ride himself? And it can be performed in the first level of Donkey Kong Country for the SNES.
In Jungle Hijinxs, go straight to the right and release Rambi from his crate. Then bring your rhino friend back to the left and climb up to the top of the trees at the very beginning of the level.
Jump down where the banana arrow indicates and you will reveal a steel barrel. Hop off of Rambi and grab the steel barrel.
Toss the barrel against the left wall at the start of the stage. Then hop on top of it, and when your Kong is lined up with Rambi, press Y AND B at the same time. If you did it correctly, Rambi will glitch out and turn into a silvery metallic version of Donkey Kong. Or Diddy Kong, depending on who you're playing as.
Donkey Kong will be riding a metal-looking Donkey Kong, or Diddy will be riding a grey, metallic Diddy. There's no point to this glitch, but it looks especially funny if you use Donkey Kong, because he will continually, ummm "buck on his bronco" so to speak.
The glitch ends as soon as you jump or press Y.
