Tyler from Inverted Access takes a look at RIVE, a twin-stick shooter blended with exploration and platforming.

RIVE provides a truly intense experience, challenging you to navigate a barrage of environmental dangers while also dealing with waves of robot enemies.

In this video I play through Mission 2, an early but challenging level that does a great job demonstrating what RIVE is all about. There are a couple gravity-free sections and several battle sections where your movement is limited and the baddies are plentiful.

The game features a simple upgrade system that helps you improve your abilities over time, but prepare for a very challenging twin-stick shooter that's going to feature a lot of dying and take a lot of practice to make it to the end.
