River City Ransom 1989 NES Dad's Secret Retro Stash
456Dad dug into his retro stash again and pulled out one of his all-time favorites River City Ransom on the NES. He's playing on the switch via the Nintendo online library.
A viewer tipped Dad off on this passcode that Kotaku mentioned in 2017 which he thinks was left in the game by the Developers to test gameplay etc. without having to grind like crazy.
The Code is the only one in the game that allows you to use spaces in the password entry screen.
Basically, it gives you max money and maxes out all your stats. Play it at your own risk this way.
Why am I called Dad's Backlog?
Well the TLDR version is I've been playing video games since the Atari and Vic 20 days and over the years I've started many games and in most cases never finished them so I've made quite of collection of games I always wanted to finish but never found time to do it.
So I created this channel so my son and daughter can hopefully someday find this and watch Dad play through a lot of games he loved and maybe you all can share some of your memories of them too.
