3Down at the river
I saw her floating
An angel and a giver
I'll never forget!
A touch and a shiver
my heart was pounding
She forgave an old sinner
and paid for my debt.
I have been freed
I am what I am
She told me how to life
for the first time again.
The things I've left behind me
taking parts of myself
and breaking up the old shell.
But all these things remind me
I'm like a puzzle she solved
and that's how I can still love.
I've spread a fair share of hate

I've picked her up at the drive-through
black overknee boots
and such a sweet perfume

and left the motel to soon
