Not to be confused with the official sequel from Activision themselves, this is a bootleg hack of the original 2600 River Raid that forgoes the level design for a completely new level. While the original game was sort of easy compared to other shooters of its time, this hack's level design is FAR more difficult by comparison. Notably, there are several sharp turns one has to make & fuel can be quite limited in supply(which is why whenever I see fuel that is actually possible to reach(some fuel "batteries" are placed in areas that make it impossible to reach without losing a plane), I will hog it for as long as I can).

The enemies are placed all about, showing up in places where you REALLY have to shoot them in order to go any further. Sure, the original had that too, but not to THIS EXTENT!

Passageways can also be VERY tight, to the point that you'd have almost no wiggle room for your big sprite plane to go through. At one point, there is a 2-way option: one leads to a bunch of enemy copters that will destroy you if touched, but getting out of it means not dealing with some nasty enemy placements in the sharp turn afterwards. The other? You get some fuel, but there are enemies waiting at that sharp turn & you REALLY have to be on your toes in order to go through there alive.

What I'm saying is; this is a hard mode hack of the original River Raid, one that could make a River Raid pro struggle a bit. Definitely worth playing to see just HOW far you go!
