For the manufacturing of its electric vehicles and batteries, Rivian plans to build a second factory in the United States. The company plans to invest $5 billion initially in the second plant, dubbed Project Tera, with construction expected to begin in the fall of 2021. Production is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2023.
