Road Rash (Sega Master System) - Zilog and Moto #229
37(Apologies in advance for any stumbles or mumbles in the voiceovers, for whatever reason, my mouth just did NOT want to cooperate tonight!)
In September of 1991, Road Rash debuted on the Sega Genesis, and it was an immediate hit, spawning two sequels and spin off on the console, and it was so popular, that it pulled off the unusual port TO the Amiga rather than from the Amiga, which happened somewhat regularly in the earlier years of the console.
A few years later, US Gold thought, "well, hey, what about the Master System, people still use them in Europe!" And Electronic Arts was like, "Hey, knock yourself out, we're busy working on Road Rash 3." And thus, Road Rash for the Master System was born, in early 1994.
Was this a stroke of genius on US Gold's part? Or was it too little and far too late? Take a look!
