Columns (Sega Genesis) - Zilog and Moto #222
32Columns. You could easily explain Columns away as just being Sega's attempt to try to steal some of Nintendo's thunder with the massive success of Tetris, but based on my experience this week, I think that's doing a pretty large disservice to the game itself. Sure, it exists because Sega needed a killer app to fill the puzzle game void on the Genesis that other titles weren't doing, but honestly, it's actually a pretty decent game in it's own right.
At least, the Arcade version is. Does the Genesis version hold up to that lofty standard? Take a look and find out!
