Two Donkey Kong Country games down, only one to go. Now comes the third and last of the DKC trilogy: Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Released in 1996, one year after DKC2. It was also released near the end of the SNES' life cycle and the start of the N64's.

Several months have passed after the Kongs victory over K. Rool. One morning, Dixie finds that Diddy had left with DK and would return tomorrow. The next day, he hasn't returned. Days pass and Dixie would get worried. So she decided to head to the Northern Kremisphere. It's then she visits Wrinkly Kong, who tells her that DK and Diddy passed by but she has no idea where they went.

So she pays a visit to Funky and the only visitor he had was Kiddy Kong, her toddler cousin. So now Dixie and Kiddy travel on a journey to find them, all while having to get aid from the Brother Bears along with contending the Kremlings once more.

That's the gist of DKC3 and since this is Part 1, you will get to see the first two areas: Lake Orangatanga and Kremwood Forest. Like the last game, your job will have to collect items like bananas, Bramble Coins, Banana Fairies and DK Coins. Sometimes at the end of boss fights, you will obtain items that will help you progress further. The silver coins are going to be needed. Why? To get items that will be required for a trade sequence.

Part 2 will take us to Cotton-Top Cove. Also David Wise didn't do the soundtrack for this game. It was Eveline Fischer that did. Damn surprising isn't it?
