RoadBlasters (NES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthough of Mindscape's 1990 combat racing game for the NES, RoadBlasters.
The video shows all fifty races - nothing was skipped.
I remember the whole family getting into this game way back when. It was one of our favorite rental game stand-bys for those weekends when there was nothing new out that we wanted to play, or if all of the copies of the new games were already gone by the time we made it to the video store.
There's plenty to say about this Beam-developed conversion of Atari's classic arcade racer, but since I've already written a full review on it, please allow me to refer to my website where it is hosted: http://www.nintendocomplete.com/roadblasters/
It's mindless entertainment, and the NES version can't touch the Atari Lynx version's sense of speed or smoothness, but that doesn't stop it from being a lot of fun. It's like Rad Racer, but with guns and flat roads. When I play for fun (and not for an all-inclusive playthrough recording like this is), I tend to skip a number of the stages. I'd actually recommend playing it that way - it becomes a bit monotonous doing all fifty in a row.
