The phenomenal creative team behind Descender and Ascender, Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen, give us their stunningly beautiful and incredibly emotional take on Dick Grayson's early days as Batman's ward. This book really focuses in on the relationships between Dick, Bruce and Alfred and tells us a story about family through the lens of Batman. The art is flooring, my absolute favorite version of Batman I've ever seen and my favorite stuff of Dustin's I've ever laid eyes on. Just amazing. Read. This. Comic!
