Welcome to GamerU your home for tips tricks and tutorials, today were looking at Robocraft: new team orders and overclocking.
Overclocking is a core aspect of Robocraft, simply put it will increase the attributes of your blocks depending on the overclock level.
Wheels become faster , armor becomes stronger , thrusters become more powerful and weapons increase in damage and reduce in reload time, so who wouldnt want overclocking?
When your in a match you can see your overclock level on the bottom left , as you destroy protonium or your enemies or even by healing your teammates you will see this bar slowly fill up until you reach a new level.
with each new level you will notice a marked increase in the performance of your vehicle but also an amplification of any flaws in your designs.
What was once a steady flying fortress of a gunship may now flip over as soon as you try to move forward , your previously solid tank may now decide that being upside down is what it wants to be each time you hit a bump.
So assuming your design is good how do you overclock quickly?
Early in the game peritoneum towers are key , if you help destroy your first tower you will most likely overclock to level 2 right there, or very soon afterwards in battle.
Later on its more down to enemies destroyed or teammates healed so dont be afraid to launch yourself into the middle of battle even if you will be destroyed , respawning doesnt effect overclocking so get in there to overclock quickly.
Overclocking caps out at level 13 so once your at that level you dont need to focus on getting more points just winning the match.
Onto team orders,
Team orders were introduced recently and add some much needed communication to the game , while for a long time people would request help or try and direct their team via the chat option stopping to type often caused more deaths than the tactics saved.
To use team orders hold down the control key and point your mouse where you want your "ping" to show.
There are 3 different types of "ping"
The left mouse button clicked on a location will display the Danger Here ping which is used to warn your teammates of impending danger.
The middle mouse button when clicked on a location will " ping" the On My Way Signal which is very handy for medics telling downed teammates they are coming to help.
The final ping is the "go here" ping which is the right mouse button , this is most often used to direct your team to attack certain points or towers.
For aircraft and scouts the team orders allow you to indicate where enemy buildups are without sacrificing yourself in the process so get in quick , ping the area and get out.
As there isn't a "come help me" ping you will most most users will use the danger or go here ping to indicate they need help from a medic , so keep your eyes out for new pings.
