Welcome to GamerU’s guide to combos in ArcheAge, or the result of chaining certain abilities into each other for amplified effects. These bonuses can come in the form of extra damage, a status effect, or a variety of other results, but in any case it is wise to learn and take note of combos whenever possible for optimal combat results.
Combos can be executed within the abilities of a single skillset, across multiple skillsets of one character, or across multiple characters in a group who are in combat with the same target. Effects applied to a target through certain abilities determine what combos can occur thereafter; for example, the Flamebolt skill inflicts burning on opponents, allowing the Freezing Arrow skill to deal extra damage. Inversely, the chilled effect inflicted by Freezing Arrow allows for Flamebolt to deal bonus damage as well. Ordering your skills based on the situation can be important to maximize the damage obtained from executing a combo, and when grouped with players even more coordination is required for these results to be achieved.
