Arc Developments produced mostly licensed titles, but this game doesn't seem to enter in such category. However, when development of Robozone began, it was tied to a TV show in development, written by British film director Bob Keen, to feature robots fighting each other. However, since the TV show was never completed, the design evolved away from it, although it was reportedly still released in a rush.
