One of my big favorites from the Blitz soundtrack, as well as my favorite Tears for Fears song. It also served as Sunny Starscout's debut in my videos as well. Pretty relevant too, with all the pro-Palestine protests going on in colleges and universities all across the country.

A lot of the songs in Rock Band Blitz have auto-generated venues that don't really have any oomph to them. This is especially noticeable in some of the more intense songs like "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)" and "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)," the latter of which I decided to rectify myself. "Shout" turned out to be an exception to this: the lighting gets really funky during the beginning of the bridge, and there are directed cuts in spots where they normally wouldn't be placed in an auto-generated venue track. The original venue's pretty solid, to the point where I took a good number of cues from it for this conversion, like the trippy lighting during the outro. Of course, I went and added in some personal touches to it too. Pretty proud of how incredible this new venue turned out.

Funny thing about the funky post-processing during the keyboard solo: the second half was originally going to have the Mirror effect, but I couldn't get it to kick in on time no matter what I did. So I scrapped it and went with the Blue Tint 》 Negative 》 Blue Tint 》 Trails pattern instead. Glad I did, because I love how it turned out.

The original chart somehow only has one lipsync track, so it took a bit of work trying to figure out whether the lead or backing vocals was being used. And I couldn't rely on the solo Vocals chart to help me with Chorus 5a, since there's two parts where they don't match up (one of which was hidden by the vocalist going idle, which disables their mouth movements in RB2: as an FYI, character animations were untouched). Would've liked if Harmonix had also gone the one lipsync track route with "One Week" so I could backport that one too, but they didn't for some reason. 🤨

This chart is also compatible with Rock Band 3 (including Harmonies), LEGO Rock Band, and Rock Band Blitz Deluxe.

When I played this in Rock Band 3 two and a half years ago, I ended up with a 100% overstrum. I did try for an FC in RB2 to go along with this video, but the Chorus 3 riff that killed my run last time is still tripping me up. Not really fond of having to wait through over a minute and a half of dead air to try again, so I'll probably take a crack at it later.
