A mix of different genres of roguelike, turn based combat and dungeon crawling with some chess like elements. You go from room to room where there are enemies placed in a grid which you must defeat in order to proceed. You also have some limited amount of mana which is used to place your pieces of monsters depending on their costs on the board and begin the combat within, as well as their being spells, potions and runes. The chess like element comes in with there being different pieces you can place as times goes on, each with their own range of ability and attacks. Each turn, you move your characters and attack whilst trying to have them not all die. So you need to strategically think about how you set up the area around the enemies to be optimal for combat, like at times you can use your smaller and weaker ones as pawns for sacrifice. Visually it looks ok, not extremely appealing but the gameplay is rather interesting. It can get quite hard as you progress but still fun, trying to beat the levels you may be struggling with.
