32I’ve just spent over 60 hours playing Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on the Steam Deck, and honestly… this game might be better than Baldur’s Gate 3.
From the rich lore to the massive scale of choices, deep turn-based mechanics, and a wild storyline that just keeps escalating — Rogue Trader is absolutely insane in all the best ways.
It runs surprisingly well on the Steam Deck, despite some dips into the mid-20s at times. But since it’s a turn-based CRPG, performance issues don’t really affect gameplay much — and it looks and feels amazing handheld.
In this video I talk about the game’s mechanics, the story, how it runs on Deck, why I got hooked, and how Owlcat Games is killing it lately — especially after their recent announcement of their Expanse game, Osiris.
