Hi again folks and thanks for checking out another tablet video here on Tim's Tech Corner. Today we're looking at a rooted Sony Tablet S. This video has been a somewhat long time coming as I've had this tablet for a bit but hadn't gotten around to doing a video on it. Due to the fact that there isn't really much in the way of ROMS for the device, this video got slightly backburnered.

You can find the root kit used for this tablet here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515720

All in all, the tablet is kind of cool. It does have a few weird issues. It does seem to just shut down every now and then. It hasn't really happened while I was looking at it but it happens with the tablet off wall power and screen off. Also, it likes to put the wifi to deep sleep when the tablet turns off the screen. Even if you tell the tablet NOT to do this, it still happens. The fat, split magazine style to the hardware shell is okay to hold if you use it in that orientation. If you do it the other way, the sharp corners of the bottom of the tablet can dig into your palms quite easily. Also, you tend to cut off one of the speakers by covering it up with your hand if you hold it that way. If you've got enough invested in the Sony Networks, this tablet or the newer Xperia tablet might be good for you.
