Description du jeu:
Dans cet épisode, la roue a désigné Chrono Trigger, un jeu de rôle sorti en 1995 sur Super Nintendo, développé par une équipe légendaire (Square, avec des contributions de Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Horii et Akira Toriyama) et édité par Square. Ce titre m’a personnellement marqué comme mon RPG favori de tous les temps, grâce à son histoire épique où vous contrôlez Crono et ses compagnons (Marle, Lucca, Robo, etc.) pour voyager à travers le temps et empêcher Lavos de détruire la planète.
Le gameplay allie exploration en 2D, combats au tour par tour avec un système de "Techs" combinées, et une rejouabilité exceptionnelle grâce à ses multiples fins (13 au total !). Les lieux comme le Moyen Âge, 2300 AD ou le Royaume de Zeal offrent une richesse narrative, soutenue par les graphismes révolutionnaires et la bande-son magistrale de Yasunori Mitsuda. Pour moi, c’est un classique qui mérite absolument un remaster pour une nouvelle génération. Malgré sa perfection presque inégalée, certains le trouvent exigeant, mais c’est ce qui en fait un joyau rétro.

In this episode, the wheel landed on Chrono Trigger, a role-playing game released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo, developed by a legendary team (Square, with contributions from Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Horii, and Akira Toriyama) and published by Square. This game holds a special place for me as my all-time favorite RPG, with its epic story where you control Crono and companions (Marle, Lucca, Robo, etc.) to travel through time and stop Lavos from destroying the planet.
The gameplay combines 2D exploration, turn-based combat with a unique "Techs" combo system, and exceptional replayability with its multiple endings (13 in total!). Locations like the Middle Ages, 2300 AD, or the Kingdom of Zeal offer a rich narrative, backed by groundbreaking graphics and Yasunori Mitsuda’s masterful soundtrack. To me, it’s a classic that deserves a remaster for a new generation to experience. Though some find it demanding, that’s part of what makes it a retro gem.
