Royal Navy, Army and RAF Battle It Out In Inter Services Athletics
Blustery conditions in Portsmouth on the south coast meant personal or even season's best times would be hard to come by at the Inter Services Athletics Championships. But there was no lack of high flying performances. The Army took top spot, thanks in part to several of their team having been able to attend warm weather training. The RAF men and women were runners up, while the Royal Navy ended their campaign in third place. And while the Forces’ athletics season comes to a close, for the very best athletes there is still work to be done as they chase international honours. Interviewed in this report are Corporal Walker Shepherd of RAF Athletics, Naval Airman Dale Willis, Guardsman Peter Moreno, Flight Lieutenant Michaela Harrison of RAF Athletics and Corporal Danielle Hodgkinson of Army Athletics.
