Almost 1,000 troops from the 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Battlegroup have been training in Canada as part of Exercise Prairie Storm. It's part of large-scale combined arms training to prepare for a NATO deployment later this year. 1 Royal Welsh are taking the lead on the exercise at the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS). It's to demonstrate their ability as a lead armoured infantry battlegroup, working with 10 supporting units.
