RSI Aurora Bounty Hunting Quick Guide...
82After getting an Aurora ES (arguably the weakest ship in the PU) as a referral bonus, I decided to see how far I could push it doing bounty hunting, and was surprised to discover that with the correct loadout, I could handle ANY NPC bounty except for ERT Hammerheads.
While you can *technically* kill a Hammerhead with an Aurora, it has to be an Aurora LN, as you need the size 2 weapon mounts to do enough distortion damage to drop the Hammerhead's shields and get damage through.

Strictly speaking, it is not actually necessary to upgrade any of the Aurora's components except for the weapons, but you do get slightly more firing time with Ultra-Flow coolers, slightly better survivability with Palisade shields, and I prefer the VK-00 quantum drive for "intra-planetary" QT hops, as it is slightly faster, even thought it is not fuel efficient enough to jump *between* planets in the Aurora.
