SC 3.16 - Tense Approach to SPK in EVA During Dogfight
When I arrived at SPK, the station was already surrounded by NPC Pirates. I wasn't really interested in dogfighting - just wanted to clear a CS3 that I had acquired due to an honest mistake.
I accidentally mistook a BlacJac Security guard for a Nine Tails scumbag in an underground bunker on Lyria. Look, the guy was at least 30 meters away, and it was dark and hazy down there. Could have happened to anyone. Their own damn fault for choosing such a stupid livery for their uniforms.
Anyways, by the time I made it to SPK, I was strung out from an evening of moving... cargo... and I decided the old Titan & I really weren't up to tangling with a pair of Valk's and a Cutty, so when the first missiles came my way I figured I stood a better chance of going unnoticed by ditching the ship and drifting over in EVA.
But I botched the angle for the ejection, and had to float nearly a kilometer over to the station, and lemme tell you - that was one hell of a float. I've been surrounded by less lasers at Wally's on a Saturday night, and that place'll damn near blind you.
Still, I did skirt by unnoticed, and all's well that ends well I suppose. Or at least it would be, if the damn cryptokey hadn't 30k'd out on me five minutes later.
Ah, well - what can you do? Happy Luminalia you filthy animals!
