I can’t promise you won’t get any strange looks doing it. If you like to write or plan your session in a coffee shop, you might get an odd stare or two. But without question, it does work for me. Maybe it will work for you too.

I find this idea fascinating. By verbalizing our thoughts, making sounds that are representative of ideas we have, it’s somehow easier for us to consider them. It seems like it shouldn’t matter, but it does.

I’ve heard some people are the same way when it comes to reading. That reading out loud is easier than reading silently. Shoot, maybe I should try that out too.

Does anyone else use a prop, whether it’s a rubber duck or a mimic, to work through creative problems?
