In Season 4, following last season’s 18-month flash-forward to Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to seek Blackbeard’s treasure, the series rewinds to reveal the events leading up to that moment. After their discovery of the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX, aiming for a “normal” life. They’ve established a new sanctuary, “Poguelandia 2.0,” where they live together and run a successful bait, tackle, and charter shop. However, financial setbacks soon lure John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo back into the “G” game with Wes’s offer, setting them on another high-stakes adventure. Soon, they find themselves outmatched by dangerous new enemies racing them to the treasure. Along the way, they’re forced to confront their past, present, and future—questioning who they are, what’s worth risking, and if it’s all been worth it.
