Runescape Fremennik Saga Three's Company part 4 of 6 Killing for a Pickaxe
Fremennik Sagas become available once Skaldrun has been freed and a memory fragment is discovered while dungeoneering. The fragment for Three's Company is a sparkling bear pelt. It usually appears after your freeing of Skaldrun, but if you miss it, it will appear again on Frozen floors until you interact with it.
Remember to have no items before trying to start a saga. The saga plays a little bit like Dragon Age in that you have a party and can take direct control of any of its members.
To get the 100% score, you need to have level 30 or higher in magic, range, and attack and gather 3 ores and summon a familiar.
Speak with Skaldrun on the surface world to start. First, off pick up some dusk eel in case someone in the group gets into trouble. They all need to stay alive.
In the first room you can access, wipe out the forgotten rangers and wolf. If the controlled character is taking too much damage, switch who you're controlling in order to change the Forgottens' primary target. Make use of marking targets to have the group wipe them out quickly.
DO NOT let anyone eat the heim crabs dropped by one of the rangers. They're are needed for a side objective as well as a gold charm drop.
After the room is clear, have Owen investigate the giant rock in the room for ore.
The next room is an ice, pressure pad puzzle room. Only Ozan can travel on ice without falling, so switch to him and get to each pad.
After the ice room, is a room with 2 rangers and a wolf. Owen is useless against the rangers, so mark one of them while you control him and attack the wolf. When the room is clear, have Ariane interact with the summoning obelisk to summon a familiar and talk with it in order to clear a side objective.
The next room is a rune tile puzzle. It's not necessary to win Ozan's bet, so if you get frustrated, dwindle the number of tiles needing flipping and force them to flip individually via a right-click option.
Once the tiles are all the same color, continue into the next room to pick up a key. Kill the shades for food since they're not much of a challenge if you switch who you're controlling regularly.
Backtrack and use the key to progress to a room with a runebound door. Control Ariane and right-click each pressure pad to have the men stand on them. Interact with the door's runes to be teleported and sealed into a room with giant coloful orbs.
Right-click the orbs (or let them shock you a bit) to tap into Ariane's foresight abilities. You will see some of the orbs emit smoke one-by-one. Memorize the sequence and copy it by touching the orbs in the same order. Remember to fetch the crimson key before meeting up with the guys. Right-click them to make them follow again or briefly take direct control of both of them.
Use the crimson key to enter a guardian room. Kill the rangers and wolf. Enter the next room and switch to Ozan. Make him speak with the Forgotten Warrior doorman. Use the charm speech option and ask questions to make him question the purpose of his job. He will eventually trust Ozan and ditch the door to farm potatoes. Take note of the zephyrium ore rock in the same room.
Enter the next room and have Owen handle the statue puzzle, simple.
The eastern door out of the statue room contains shades and a pickaxe. Kill the shades for fun and/or food. Pick up the pickaxe. Return to the statue room and head north to an agility room. Use Ozan to navigate it. Just go around the spinning blade trap. Pick up a rusty sword after the obstacles to gain ore and complete another secondary objective. Exit the room and head south.
Clear the guardian room and continue to find a kidnapped Pikkupstix. Speak with him and pickup the gold crest key.
Backtrack to the zephy rock and have someone mine it. All side objectives should be complete; you have three obtained three ores and summoned a gorajo.
Go to the gold crescent door to access the final confrontation. The boss fight is against Carn, who fights with range, and two bears. There is a behemoth in the room that will occasionally cause boulders to drop from the ceiling. The good guys are safe from the boulders as long as they are on the carpeted areas.
Defeat Carn to trigger the end of the Saga. Your final decision has no effect on your reward.
For completeing the saga 100%, you get 750 Dungeoneering xp , 75 tokens, and 3750 xp in attack, magic, or range.
