Runescape Salt in the Wound part 4 of 7 Third Chamber Solution and the Fourth
0This quest ends the evil slug questline in a rather lackluster way. Instead of having an epic boss fight, there's lever puzzles.....
Luckily, this quest shouldn't need much food if any.
Anyway, once you have the quest requirements, meet Kennith east from Daemonheim. Once you agree to the quest, he'll teleport in your allies. Speak with Ezekiel and Eva. Once you've introduced yourself, speak with Kennith to start an invasion into Daemonheim.
Once you're in, kill and unlock doors until you get past the blue door.
In the room, an ally needs to retrieve the gland of a large Seeker corpse. To reach it, your chosen ally needs to do some hopping across pillars. The issue is that a magic orb spawns when one steps onto a pillar and does 500 damage and sends its target to the start once it's caught them.
To dodge it, jump all the way west from the first pillar you can jump to, then south, then north, and east as far as you can, and finally, south to the Seeker body.
Get the gland, and as a shortcut, let the orb catch your person. With the gland secured, speak with Kennith to be teleported to the Fishing Platform.
Kennith needs ingredients for an anti-mind control potion. He needs some thrall blood and a live slug.
The blood can be obtained from Bailey. Through the dialogue menu, choose to punch him in the face. When he claims to not feel pain, question him about it and then dare him to prove it. He'll cut his arm with glass and you take the blood stained glass.
The slug needs to be lured from a fishing spot east from where your friends are. You don't need a rod, your arm is the bait. When the slug is on the dock, lure it back to Kennith. He'll knock it out and telegrab it.
Speak with him and he'll ask you to grind the Seeker Gland and mix the ingredients. Once the serum is ready, speak with him to advance the quest.
It is time to invade the Slug Citadel. Speak with one of the guards, when they deny entry, ask them why. Claim you're not strangers and that you seek enlightenment. Finally win them over by saying you wish to hear their Mother's call.
Now comes the annoying part of the quest. If I tried to type out the solutions, I'd just leave you confused. Go to http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Salt_in_the_Wound#Slug_Citadel
and literally print out a cheatsheet to the Citadel's five chambers.
Once the puzzles are solved, all that is left to do is speak with Mother Mallum's former conduit. Your decision on what to tell her will not dissuade death or change quest rewards. Leave the final chamber when you're down with the quest and its characters.
