Running Android Apps on Chrome OS
Running Android Apps on Chrome OS.
You can download and use Android apps on your Chromebook using the Google Play Store app.
One of the advantages that Chromebooks — well, most Chromebooks — offer is the ability to run many of your favorite Android apps alongside Chrome OS windows. In fact, a lot of the more popular Android apps have been optimized for Chrome OS, so they will look perfectly at home on your Chromebook.
One of the most exciting changes Google made to its Chrome OS platform in recent years was the addition of Android app support. Note: If you’re using your Chromebook at work or school, you might not be able to add the Google Play Store or download Android apps. For more information, contact your administrator.
