I always never fail to get amused whenever people say, "Rushing is for nubs / Rushing is about luck / Rushing doesn't need skill!" Usually this is followed by, "Q-ing/building is REAL skill!" I mean no disrespect to you guys because hey I used to think so myself until someone corrected me (read on).

News flash: Rushing is NOT about just getting your units from point A to point B. It's a lot more than that. It's about how you consistently Q your units while being under fire, how you avoid the opponent's units that try to block you and in the case of base trade how quick you are in multitasking your rushing units and your defending ones. This vid is one such example; it isn't the best example but I hope it illustrates my point.

I expect a lot of people to disagree/cry/bitch about this. There are two camps of naysayers when it comes to the rushing debate: the skeptics and the crybabies. The skeptics truly believe rushing isn't about skill and I hope one day they will realise the truth. The crybabies on the other hand use rushing as an excuse for their losses just as how some cry about air units in 2v2s.

And oh wanna know who corrected me? It's Nate. He woke me up from my naive and dumb delusion that Q maketh the man. He said a true pro should learn Q, rushing, base trade, learn em all. Despite our dispute I always give credit when it's due.
