Russell Smith was born in South Africa. He grew up in Halifax and has lives in Toronto since 1989. He is the author of six works of fiction. A well-known journalist and cultural commentator, he writes the weekly "Virtual Culture" column in the Globe and Mail and is also the editor of the online men's magazine XYYZ.ca.(Recorded on March 06, 2008)
