Today we're talking about Team Russia at the 2021 World Juniors, who ended up getting losing to Team Finland in the Bronze Medal Game, after getting eliminated by Team Canada in the semi-finals.
Turns out, they ended up getting roasted pretty hard, firstly by Soviet hockey legend Viacheslav Fetisov, where he noted how Team Russia was so inferior, that none of their players would've made the Team Canada squad that eliminated them.
We also had comments from TSN commentator Gord Miller, who noted how the Soviet system that head coach Igor Larionov wanted to implement with this Russian team shouldn't be associated with the level of success Larionov implies it has.
It's complicated but let's go over it anyway.
