Modern Russia has a lot of societal problems, and one of the bigger ones is education - and in particular education regarding politics and ideology. Russians often don't know anything about politics, and the Russian propaganda and TV make sure that it stays that way. As a result, a lot of average Russians, especially those who support Putin, end up being politically illiterate. Moreover, certain words and terms start losing meaning in Russia, becoming useless buzzwords used by Russian TV in true Orwellian 1984 fashion.
