I left Russia over 1 year ago, and since then I've been distraught by and severely disappointed in my country many, many times. However, Russia isn't the only one in this regard - in fact, over the last year I've been pretty disappointed in the world and human beings in general. Why am I such a doomer about the world these days? Why do people lack empathy? And how is this all connected to my experience as a Russian in 2023? Let's talk about it!
