When I was 23, I left the swamps of North Florida with $100 and a dream. I ended up homeless in San Diego, sleeping under the stars in Balboa Park, scraping by on cans and grit. What followed was a series of brutal lessons—arrest, jail, fights, madness, and a long walk home with nothing but a piece of rebar for protection.
This isn’t fiction. It’s not polished. It’s what happened.
