Sonic CD Hoax:

Go to the sound test (I'm sure you already know how to do that), and input the following numbers 20, 13 and 06 (or just 13 and 06 if you only see two numbers). You'll be brought to a stage select screen that shows all the stages available. Now go all the way to the bottom and press the down arrow 371 times. If done correctly you'll hear a confirmation sound. Congratulations, you've just unlocked a hidden secret stage: Haze Hazard!

In Haze Hazard, there's no use going to the past or future because you can't see anything else other than Sonic. Even if you do manage to find and destroy the roboticizer you'll still end up in the bad future.

Like in the water, if you run out of clean oxygen you'll die. Fortunately, there's a new box item here called "Gas Mask" which gives Sonic a mask, allowing him to breathe through the stage normally. Here's the catch: if you get hit by an enemy or lose a life, you'll lose the mask forever and there will not be another box with it.

Robotnik's machine here is like the one in Sonic 3 and Knuckles' Angel Island, but instead of shooting fire at you, he shoots fire to the trees at either sides of the screen, causing fumes to appear and attack Sonic. Rings are useless here as Sonic will die instantly if he touches the fumes. The only way to defeat Robotnik is to prevent him from firing at the trees, and instead direct the fire he shoots back at him.
