This is a Non-Profit Journalistic review of Flower Demo exclusive to the PSN. On the playstation 3.


What your looking at here is a review of a demo.
and now i know this may be taboo in the reviewer world, however i feel this is one of those games where the demo is the same thing as the full game except with more levels.

Flower is a game made by "The Game Company" and is an Playstation 3 Playstation Network Exclusive.

You are god and by god i mean you are the wind. the land is dieing around you and as such nature takes it upon itself to try to mend all of the wounds.

you basically take control of 1 petal which floats in the wind, and you propel forward capturing more flowers while touching unbudded flowers thus making the land heal it self.

The controls for the game are the simplest and the best i could ever imagine for this type of game, the X button will push you forward, and to move around you simply tilt the playstation 3 six axis controller. thats all there is. it accelerates very fast and it stops very fast as well, in terms of speed its perfect, in terms of motion detection its flawless. to my suprise i didnt have any problem playing this game the first time.

The graphics in this game are top notch. truely amazing, you can see each strand of grass as you move over it bending it to your will an, in fact its the graphics that help you play this game, by staying low to the ground you can see where you are which makes it easier. but the draw distance is what really makes this amazing, if you look in the background you can see miles and miles of grass. each a single strand. the beauty of this game is definately the graphics.

and of course with such a great combination of the games graphics and controls you need complimenting tunes. the music is very soothing my ears might be off, but it sounds like someone playing a harp, with some piano being tossed in every time you hit a flower. since this is the demo i do not know if you can play your own music, but if you could it wouldnt feel the same, imagine listening to Rhapsody Of Fire to this it would be so bizzare.

Since this is a demo I would have to say you should download it since it is free.

as for purchasing the game that would be up to you. from the end demo trailer i can see 6 levels total, different flowers, but more or less its all about the same thing as this demo. just different colors. so its totally up to you weather you want it or not.

I give this demo a 9 out of 10, its very fun and easy to play, all the while amazing you with its beauty.
