Ryzen Clock Speed Leaked Out | Base Clock 3.6 Ghz | Titbits About Vega
540More leaks / info have popped up which shows that the base clock of the 8 core Ryzen CPU (tentatively known as SR7) will be 3.6Ghz at least, with a turbo of up to 4Ghz.
This puts things to perspective, considering that the I7 6900K which Ryzen was pitted against in benchmarks runs at just 3.7Ghz turbo.
This is combined with further evidence that Vega drivers are still not optimized, and yet are handily beating the GTX 1080, which is a sign that Vega's architecture is newer than Nvidia's Pascal. Let's hope Nvidia can counter Vega with a Pascal refresh so that both companies can be competitive to each other.
