The South Korea defense ministry accused North Korea to have violated an inter-Korean military agreement after North’s artillery fire drills in Changrin Islet on Monday. According to the North’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korean leader Kim Jung-un administrated the fire orders during a visit to a military unit on Changrin Islet that is just north of the Northern Limit Line, the defacto maritime border in the Yellow sea. Although details, such as the type of artillery and how many rounds were fired in which direction were not revealed, South Korea protested the firing drills as a violation of a military agreement signed by the two Koreas last year.
