I'm at the Container Yard when an Emission hits. These conditions are the only way you can trade with some of the Bandits here including Dwarf, the one who demanded a bribe for you to be able to leave after paying off Shishak for Mitay being a hostage. This is a way to get your money back by selling him junk. After that, I'm hanging out there waiting for some Bandit respawns. They don't happen until I'm over by the train tunnel where a lone Dutyer is mutant hunting. A couple of Bandits spawn but I'm not paying attention and they head my way and start shooting at the Dutyer but he wins. Then I get a group of three at the entrance to the Container Yard, I am ready this time and slowly lead them over to the Monolith for the first firefight.

As previously mentioned, in one of my Games back in 2009-2010, I discovered by accident in Free Play, a way to get the Monolith into the Freedom Faction after I had already earned the Man of Balance Achievement. Normally you can only recruit the Monolith into Freedom or Duty while getting the Friend of Freedom or Duty Achievement. This is also the only way to get the Leader Achievement since it requires more than just Vano and Sokolov as you must also recruit Strider.

However, I had found another way by a strange intentional or unintentional glitch in the Game mechanics. I discovered that if Bandits attacked the Monolith several times and the Monolith would win or survive the attacks, they would suddenly turn friendly "green" and then you could recruit them into the Freedom Faction. So how do you get the Bandits to attack them? It requires another unrelated Achievement called Artifact Hunter. You get that Achievement when you find every Artifact in the Game, as mentioned in video #112 and why I was doing it. The Artifact Hunter Achievement has strange properties where some squads or single Bandits will start following the Player if they are uncommitted to a specific location the Game assigns them to.

Up to this point I was having trouble making that happen ( Bandits following me ) as I had tried that earlier and depending on where you are located, the Bandits are erratic doing this or will stop and turn around at random demarcation lines and forget about you. In the past, it only worked if they were around the Container Yard, and I got them to follow me over the hill down to where the Monolith were gathered. The problem was the Container Yard Bandits were fixed in place guarding it, and no new Bandits were appearing on the road nearby. Then I remembered I needed to clear out the Bandits there so the location would be "open" and new Bandits would spawn in front of it. This is why I started using Duty & Freedom squads to fast travel there to get into firefights with the Bandits to slowly reduce their numbers.
