SaGa Frontier 2: Wil and the Egg, Johan the Assassin
Wil continues his chase for the egg. I assume that it doesn't end here however, however, the boss fights continue to be the most dull part of this game. I'm surprised that Wil died in such a fashion, sitting on a slowly sinking ship. Probably not dead for real, but I'd be impressed if that's how he did die.
Gustave continues to be more interesting for the most part despite showing up just for bits and pieces here and there. I feel like stories back in the day could get away with being more understated such as Wil chasing the Egg because of how understated everything is as a result of just using sprites over having to have 3d animated models with voice acting. Players don't expect things to be quite so dramatic in certain ways.
There isn't really much development for side characters in this game in comparison to other stuff I've played, but I still like it. The game is still good I think, but it feels weird to have such a linear game as the supposed successor to SaGa Frontier.
