Salvation Army Today - 5.16.2019 - Salvation Army National Advisory Board Special Guests
The Salvation Army’s Chief of the Staff and World Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Commissioners Lyndon and Bronwyn Buckingham, recently visited Birmingham, AL for a meeting of the National Advisory Board (NAB).
At the Birmingham Area Command Annual Dinner, the Chief of the Staff spoke of how the NAB event had really energized them both, highlighting the importance of advisors to the Army’s mission.
“I have met people with sincerity, passion, commitment, integrity, expertise and intelligence”, he said. He paid tribute to all Salvation Army Advisory Board members and other volunteers around the world who give tirelessly to advance the mission, for their wisdom to understand the challenges of today and in turn guiding the Army in meeting needs in His name without discrimination.
He called for all believers to always “Look Up!” fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
