If you need to change or update the sync schedule for checking for incoming emails on your galaxy s5 it can be done pretty quickly. First open the email tab and click the top left options tab and click manage accounts. Click your email and then click sync settings. Next click sync schedule and from in here you can change the sync settings I would recommend having it check every 15 minutes.
