Samsung is shaking up its release cycle with the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 for its flagship Galaxy phones. This new build will introduce a notable S Pen-focused AI feature, making it a bigger update than usual. However, this change may also delay the release of Android 15-based One UI 7.
According to leaker Ice Universe, the new AI-powered tool in One UI 6.1.1 will turn whatever you write using the S Pen into graffiti. This feature makes "very good use of SPen and imagination," indicating a more creative and engaging user experience.
While Samsung introduced several AI features in One UI 6.1, none of them took advantage of the S Pen. This changes with One UI 6.1.1, which is expected to improve system animations and wallpaper animations for a more vivid feel.
Based on previous years, Samsung should start testing One UI 7 in late July or early August. However, Ice Universe claims that One UI 7 may not arrive early this year. Instead, Samsung will focus on pushing One UI 6.1.1, which addresses many camera image processing issues and adds several new features.
