Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on May 28th, and had a good day operating my Lionel KCS Genset with the club coal cars and my usual Amtrak consist (I didn’t film it that day, as I was mostly just running it as a filler train). After I was done filming the KCS Genset, I did also run my Western Pacific SD70ACe.
Both trains ran perfectly with no issues all day, but I did have to take apart of the KCS Genset near the end of the day to fix the smoke unit fan motor. As the weekend prior, smoke fluid got in the fan and made it noisy during this running session.
Coal Train: Lionel Kansas City Southern Genset #1404 and 19 coal cars (that belong to the club)
