Starsector , Kenshi , Factorio , Mount and Blade Bannerlord , Terraria , Minecraft are all sandbox games that I love and play a lot. But 3 of these sandbox games are filled with wasted potential. The point I will talk about today is that freedom in these games can get overrated and we still need some direction. The freedom in these games is the main focus but there are times where we need direction therefor we need to be controlled in some way. That would mean going against the main point of the sandbox game witch is freedom. Sandbox games like Factorio have this set a goal to achieve (build a rocket) buuut then we have Kenshi and Starector where I personally got stuck and wished to have story or a goal that was made by a developer. Also I think it has to do with the fact that The main difference between game and real life is the assurance that the effort you put in will result in a staffing reward. Where the point is when we lose the our goal in games we play they start to resemble IRL and stop being fun. Also check DR K he does a lot of things that help people IRL.

Hope you enjoyed !
